There was an exhibition streak in him but Selene wasn't any other human girl. Picking up his glass, Matthew slipped to his feet. "Let's find a table that's not right on the edge of the excitement, hmm? I wouldn't want to miss a word." His hand hovered at the small of her back, but he wasn't breaking her barriers, merely encouraging her with a gesture of his glass ridden hand towards the back of the room. There sat a few high backed tavern booths. They would have their privacy there.

Once she headed that way, he followed right behind her and let her choose the side she wanted before slipping himself right in next to her with that same charming disarming smile.
