Matt's smile fell and his brow furrowed at her rejection of his compliment. He clucked under his breath with a shake of his head.

"You don't even know my name and yet you call me a liar. You are right though, I don't have to. I choose too and it's my truthful prerogative." She was beautiful but Matthew couldn't put her above or below the whore he'd dismissed. Well, she was already above the woman, being a vampire.
